Cooking Class: Impress Your Dates (Ages 50+)

SORRY LADIES, THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT FOR WOMEN!

Join us as we learn the ins and outs of making a deliciously easy meal to "impress" a significant other, loved one, or best friend. During this class we'll start with a simple salad, main course and end with a decadent dessert. After each course, you will switch preparation tables so that you have a chance to work with everyone of the opposite sex. This is a class you don't want to miss!

Colorado Rockies vs. San Diego Padres

There's no better way to spend a summer evening than with singles, baseball, and beer! Tonight the Rockies take on the San Diego Padres - let's cheer on CarGo, Tulo, and Helton to victory!!!

We'll meet beforehand for drinks, and mingling. Tickets will be distributed at that time. From there, we'll head over to Coors Field, to our third level seats, right along the first base line. What a view (if you have attended with us before, these are the same awesome seats)!! Game time is 5:15 p.m.

The male/female ratio will not be monitored for this event. Tickets must be purchased by Thursday, June 6 at noon.

Comedy Works - Hypnotist Rusty Z

According to most polls, a sense of humor is the number one quality people look for in a mate. So join other singles who love to laugh for a night out with Rusty Z at Comedy Works!

Rusty Z is one of the few stage hypnotists who come from a stand-up comedy (as seen on Comedy Central) background. Instead of the usual canned hypnosis show, Rusty Z brings you a show that’s funny from start to finish.

Volunteer if you’d like to have the time of your life… or have a great time observing the volunteer’s hidden talents. Either way, this show will make you laugh until you cry. We saw this show a couple of years ago and it is HILARIOUS!

We will meet beforehand (location still TBD) for a fun mixer (one of my favorites) and so you can see if there's someone special you'd like to sit by!

You MUST arrive at our meeting place no later than 9:05 or you will forfeit your ticket. We have to be seated as a group by 9:15 - this is a Comedy Works policy. Please remember that there is a two-item minimum (food and/or beverage)in the showroom. Also, please keep in mind that parking can be very difficult in this area. Even though there is a parking garage, it fills up quickly. Make sure you allow enough time to find parking!

Demolition Derby at the Greeley Stampede

Ready for some redneck entertainment (and I mean that in the most positive way – really)? The Demolition Derby has tons of car crashing, engine revving, dirt-flying fun with more than 100 drivers and some of the funniest looking cars you have ever soon. What can I say – I find cars crashing for absolutely no reason quite entertaining! The Stampede also has live music, carnival rides, and vendors if you want to check them out before or after the Demolition Derby.

This is a full-day adventure. We’ll meet at the Park-N-Ride at 120th Avenue and I-25 (southwest corner of the interchange) at 12:00 sharp. Don’t be late! We’ll carpool from there to the Greeley Stampede – it’s about a one hour drive. Parking is a few dollars when you get there – I think it was $5 per car, but I can’t guarantee that. Please also plan to chip in a couple dollars for gas for our drivers. Wear cool, comfortable clothing and make sure to bring your sunglasses and sunscreen.

Pre-purchase of tickets is required since all seating is ticketed (no general admission) and we want to make sure to sit together! You MUST sign up no later than Tuesday, July 2.

Whitewater Rafting at Brown's Canyon

Meet at the Hampden & Wadsworth Park-N-Ride

This exciting full-day trip near Buena Vista combines splendid whitewater with spectacular views of the Sawatch Range, containing some of Colorado's highest peaks. We'll raft through fun Class III & IV rapids such as Pinball, Zoom Flume, the Staircase and the infamous Seidel's Suckhole. This scenic canyon parallels the Brown's Canyon Wilderness Study Area. Halfway through the trip our guides will prepare and serve lunch on the banks of the Arkansas River. After that, wash it down with a generous serving of whitewater! This trip is ideal for the novice and expert alike.

We'll meet at the Wadsworth & Hampden Park-N-Ride at 6:30 a.m. to carpool to Buena Vista. Further details and directions will be emailed to you after registration.

Due to it being peak season, we are limited to four rafts this year (24 people). We will not be able to add any rafts at the last minute like before, so sign up early! The male/female ratio will not be monitored for this event.
